Gameplay discussion

Well, despite numerous delays, the game is out and it is EXCELLENT. I picked it up at a local GameStop and have been playing it the last couple of days. So far, the story, music and all the charm that were part of the GBA game are present in the DS release. Plus, the new characters are pretty interesting, exploration and combat are very well implemented, and the 3D rendering looks great! It was a long time in coming, but well worth the wait.

I just started playing this game on my DS and I am kind of stuck and I am sure I am just missing something. At the beginning of the game when you go to the Tavern and you talk to Tuna and his friends, how do you leave the tavern after you have talked to them. I can not seem to get out of there, I was not sure if there was something I was suppose to do, but I can not seem to leave here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you already complete the first dungeon in the old lady's cellar? If so, then the way to exit from Tuna's tavern is to use your stylus to tap on the white X in the upper right corner of the touch screen. This is also how you get out of other stores, character skill and inventory screens, and the map. The X is kind of small, so it isn't entirely obvious the first time through.
So, who did you pick as your player character? I'm using Liv. I used Naveral in the GBA version, so this time I wanted to try a warrior. But I can't wait to unlock some of the powerful magic user NPCs later on in the game to see the spell animations!
